About visiting and visiting
What time is the visit time until what time?
Visiting hours are 10:00-16:00 (tea presentation 10:30-15:30)
However, in June, admission is 8:30-17:30 (tea presentation 10:00-16:00)
until 30 minutes before the end of the event.
Are there any days closed?
The museum will be closed from December 31st to January 3rd, but if you would like to visit us or order a goshuin, please contact us in advance.
In addition, this may change due to weather, events, etc.
How much is the admission fee?
For individuals, the general public is 700 yen, the elementary and junior high school students are 500 yen, and preschool children are free. Group discounts (30 or more people) are also available.

Is it possible to take photos?
Photographs are possible, but we do not accept large equipment or photo shoots accompanied by models.
Please refrain from filming that may cause trouble for other visitors.
Is it possible to visit the venue in a wheelchair?
The grounds are filled with historical terrain and many cobblestones, and there are steps and unevenness, making it difficult to move around in a wheelchair.
The structure is difficult to install ramps, etc., and staff do not provide assistance.
If you have assistance from accompanying people, we may be able to view some of the items, but we recommend that you check the situation in advance.
Can I take my pet to visit?
We apologize, but we do not accept pets to visit the venue.
About transportation access
Is there a parking space?
There is free parking.
However, if you are coming by a large bus, please contact us in advance.
What is the nearest station or bus stop?
It is about a 15-minute bus ride from JR Matsue Station, and a 1-minute walk from Tsukishojimae bus stop.
How do I get there by taxi?
It is about a 10-minute taxi ride from JR Matsue Station.
Please let us know that you need to go to Tsukisho-ji Temple.
About cultural assets and history
Who is enshrined in the shrine (mausoleum)?
Tsukisho-ji Temple the mausoleum of successive lords of the Matsue Domain , and has graves ranging from the first Duke of Matsudaira Naomasa to the nine Duke of Matsudaira Saisai.
Is there a place associated with Matsudaira Fumai?
There is a mausoleum of Fumai (Matsudaira Jigoku).
It also houses tea ceremony utensils and cultural assets associated with Fumai.
What is "Mantokai"?
This event is held every year on August 15th, and is a traditional event in the lanterns in the mausoleum are lit at night to commemorate the spirits of their ancestors .
This is a rare opportunity to be enveloped in a fantastic atmosphere.

Yes, we have been awarded the goshuin seal of Tsukishoji Temple.
Please purchase at the reception desk at Shoin.
Is there a place to have tea?
You can enjoy tea and sweets at Shoin.
Please apply at the time of reception.
Do I need to make a reservation for visiting?
no need to make a reservation for individual visits , but we ask that you make a reservation in advance for group visits.
Can I rent out the facilities and hold events?
Please contact us for details as it may be possible.
